privacy@toolkan.comMost ToolKan utilities process text and files in your browser, without uploading them to ToolKan. The following exceptions contact external services. Opening the site also sends ordinary network data, such as your IP address, to the hosting provider. Do not enter confidential data into tools that use external services.
External services and data
- Cloudflare: Cloudflare provides hosting, security, traffic statistics, Web Analytics and Zaraz consent management. Web Analytics uses a JavaScript beacon for page and performance metrics without analytics cookies. Network/security logs are distinct from these statistics.
- QRServer / goQR: QR generation sends the content you enter (including Wi-Fi credentials if supplied) to api.qrserver.com to create the image.
- IPinfo: IP lookup contacts ipinfo.io on opening the tool to determine your public IP and, when requested, sends the address being looked up.
- Frankfurter: Currency conversion downloads public exchange rates from api.frankfurter.dev; the amount entered is not included in that request.
- Web3Forms: Submitting the contact form sends your name, email and message to Web3Forms for delivery to the site operator. Do not include sensitive information.
Purposes, retention and your rights
Technical processing supports site delivery and security; external tool requests provide the function requested, and contact data is used to answer your message. Advertising requiring consent uses your permission, which you may withdraw without affecting earlier processing. Provider retention and international processing are described in their linked policies. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, and complain to your supervisory authority. Contact the controller for the applicable legal bases, retention periods and transfer safeguards; these must be finalized before publishing this draft.
